COTGonline.com - Champions of the Galaxy Online Card Game
What We Did ...
Database Development (MySQL)
Graphic Design
Web Design
Web Programming (PHP)
Studio Notes:
Filsinger Games was interested in taking its venerable Champions of the Galaxy wrestling game, which uses a paper-and-dice gameplay mechanic, and bringing it to the Internet as a web application. We ended up providing them with a suite of web applications, ranging from game simulation, record keeping, character galleries, and brought a playable version of the game to life on the web. We were able to both bring the game to the digital era as well as adding new features onto the game that the creator had never dreamed of. We also provided graphic design work in creating logos and promotional material for the site along with the site design itself.
Current Status:
Our initial association with Filsinger Games and work on this project ran from 2006 to 2009, three immensely fulfilling years that saw more accomplished with this project than we ever imagined. As of 2011, FortySixTen Studios is once again working with Filsinger Games on improving COTGonline, adding in new features to the system with a forthcoming mobile version of the game, as well. Stay tuned!
Client Testimonial:
"I had the pleasure of working with Larry Swank and FortySixTen Studios on the creation of the Filsinger Games venture called COTGonline. Larry's combination of friendliness and professionalism provided a delightful working experience. His keen attention to detail and seemingly limitless knowledge on the aspects of web design assured the outcome of a product I couldn't be happier with!"

SEFI.org - Science Education Foundation of Indiana
What We Did ...
Database Development (MySQL)
Web Programming (PHP)
Studio Notes:
The Science Education Foundation of Indiana runs the Indiana Regional and State Science Fairs, and they came to us in need of a universal registration system for the students. We like science, so we were happy to help them out.
The system we created for them tied all of the schools in the state together, linked teachers to schools as they registered, then linked students up with their teachers. The students' project information was stored in the database, as well. We also wrote an export routine so that when it was time for the State Science Fair, SEFI was able to export the data that had been collected into a form that could be fed into an Access application they had been using for years to print out awards at the event.
Current Status:
Our association with SEFI began in 2008, with the system first being used successfully at the 2009 Science Fairs. They continue to move forward with the system, and we are consistently tweaking the system for them to improve it based on fair director feedback every year. While you can't see most of what we've done for them without being involved in the Science Fair, this is still a site that we're immensely proud of our work on.

InkRecyclers.com
What We Did ...
Database Development (MySQL)
Graphic Design
Search Engine Optimization
Web Design
Web Programming (PHP)
Studio Notes:
This was one of our most fun projects, working on a website for a small ink recycling company headquartered in Evansville, Indiana. We wanted a colorful, striking look for their site, so the loveable mascot Chippo the Recycling Monkey was born and adorns the top of every page on the site, cracking wise about those who choose not to recycle.
In addition to graphic and web design services, we also provided Ink Ventures with a custom content management system to allow them to update their site's content. We also optimized the new design for search engines, helping their Google rankings to rise dramatically and bringing new business straight to them without any effort needing to be spent on acquiring leads.
Current Status:
The Ink Recyclers guys decided to stop recycling ink and move on to other ventures. Regrettably, InkRecyclers.com (along with Chippo the Recycling Monkey, which is the big loss to humanity here), has been consigned to the abyss of orphaned websites. Alas, poor Chippo; he shall be missed.
Client Testimonial:
"The thing I appreciate most about Larry and FortySixTen Studios is the quality of the product they can, and do, generate. We had a website for a couple of years before Larry helped us with a redesign. Within two months we saw our Google ranking rise dramatically with a subsequent substantial increase in the number of unique visitors to our site. Not only that but he was able to take what we wanted in our site and make it better just by his implementation and coding ability.
"Running a close second would be the level of customer service at FortySixTen. Not only did Larry make a dynamite site but he's been extremely responsive in making those little tweaks that we, as clients, don't always know we want when drawing out a site plan. Because of this we've been able to tailor our site further as we've gotten more and more clients through this new, dynamic portal.
"I would, and have, recommended Larry and FortySixTen to friends and associates and will confidently do so in the future.!"
