Rig War
Rig War is a project currently underway at the Studios that involves some of the best things in the world: math, random chance, and giant, stompity robots.
The game itself, when it's complete, will involve assembling one of the aforementioned giant, stompity robots - a Rig - from a catalog of available parts and pitting it against other giant, stompity robots. The actual fighting will all be simulated, so most of the gameplay will come pre-match; you'll put together a rig, balance things like heat dissipation, energy output, mobility, and firepower, then assign it a pilot and see what happens. So the point-of-view for the player here is more one of owner and engineer than it is of pilot; if you're looking for fast paced action, you've come to the wrong place.
If you want to play with an early version of the game, we've got one available for you. We don't promise that it's not riddled with bugs and that it won't change drastically from one session to the next, but we've got it.
Current Build
Version: 0.1.0
Last Updated: April 28, 2011
Description: This was a pretty significant upgrade, at least to the user interface. It's a two part process now, one that generates the two rigs and then one that spits out the output. I've also made some of the stats more apparent and added in the beginnings of what will hopefully be an aesthetically pleasing user interface when all is said and done.
